Please join us on Saturday November 23, 2024 for the Grassroots Gardens Fall 5K, 10K, and 15K running event! The races are being brought to you by iRunWNY and LaSalle Vineyard & Community Garden to raise funds for WNY Grassroots Gardens. All three distances being offered feature beautiful and scenic views of the upper Niagara River. The 15K is an out-and-back course that runs from LaSalle Waterfront Park to Goat Island and Niagara Falls!
Grassroots Gardens WNY is a determined group of activists who educate and lead committed neighborhood gardeners. They collaboratively cultivate and manage more than 300,000 square feet (and growing) of green space in Buffalo including the beautiful LaSalle Vineyard Garden located on Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY.
START/FINISH
10am Start Time: All three races will start and finish at LaSalle Waterfront Park using the USATF certified course maps shown below. We will have two water stations setup near the 5K and 10K turnarounds. Restrooms will be available at the LaSalle Waterfront Park. We will also place a portable toilet on the course at the 10K turnaround.

REGISTRATION
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of each race or until sold out. All participants who registered by 11/15/24 at 9:00am are guaranteed to receive an official Grassroots Gardens shirt in their desired size. Short sleeve shirts for 5K participants and long sleeve shirts for 10K and 15K participants. Late registrants will select from the extra shirts on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will also provide post race food after the race. ALL PARTICIPANTS will also receive a custom Grassroots Gardens finisher medal!
5K Registration: $30 / $35 after 11/3/23
10K Registration: $40 / $45 after 11/3/23
15K Registration: $45 through race day

If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download both the race waiver and appropriate USATF liability waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail BOTH waivers to the address shown on the waiver along with your check payable to iRunWNY. Paper applications must be received by 11-21-24.

Beautiful & Scenic Course Along the Upper Niagara River
POST RACE CELEBRATION
Our post race celebration will take place at the start/finish line located at LaSalle Waterfront Park. We'll be cooking on the grille for your post race enjoyment!
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Hand crafted trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers in each race. Age group awards will be announced and runners will be presented with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place decals to go on the back of their custom finisher medals. All participants will also have the option of downloading custom finisher certificates from the event page and view/share finish line photos following the race!
14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.
PARKING
There is limited parking available at LaSalle Waterfront Park for about 25 vehicles. Runners are also welcome to park at Niagara Riverside Resort where they can use the restrooms inside the main lobby before walking over.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, permit issues, etc) we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event date if needed OR convert this to a virtual event. There will be no refunds.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
